Hello, my name is Diego and I am going to show you my website. It’s called lashormigas.com.es and I’m talking about my ant colonies. The ant colonies that I have at home are:
Messor Barbarus Lasius Niger Camponotus Barbaricus Camponotus cruentatus Crematogaster scutellaris Pheidole pallidula
Myrmecology is the branch of zoology that deals with the study of ants.
It is estimated that there are around 20,000 species of ants. Although each species has different behaviors and characteristics.
COLONY OF MESSOR BARBARUS
This is the first cologne I had. Messor Barbarus are the most abundant specie in Cuarte. They like seeds very much and are granivorous. It is a medium-sized species.
LASIUS NIGER COLONY
They are little ants and they like to eat other insects. This is the anthill where I will put my Lasius but now they are hibernating.
CAMPONOTUS BARBARICUS COLONY
Camponotus barbaricus are one of the largest ants in Europe. They eat insects. At the moment they live in a cork anthill.
CAMPONOTUS CRUENTATUS COLONY
They are also one of the largest in Europe. And they eat insects. They live in a sand anthill.
CREMATOGASTER SCUTELLARIS COLONY
It is a small ant and is a hunter. The crematogaster will live in a mini cork anthill. But now they are hibernating.
PHEIDOLE PALLIDULA COLONY
It is one of the smallest ant in Europe. This ant will be the next that I want to have. If you choose these ants you must take extreme security measures so that they do not escape.
THIS HAS BEEN MY SHOW AND TELL
THANK YOU
